Beverly Lake, Whistler

This picture-perfect lake is a hidden gem along the popular Rainbow Mountain Trail near Whistler Village. Rainbow mountain trail takes you to Rainbow lake as well as the Flank Trail, Rainbow Falls, Hanging Lake, Madeley Lake, Rainbow Mountain and even Whistler Olympic Park. The trailhead starts at a 15 minutes drive north of Whistler Village on Alta Lake Road.

Beverly Lake is located at the far North, away from all the other lakes, and the trail is only partly marked. To get there, just follow the trail towards Rainbow Mountain. The first kilometre is easy to follow through, after about an hour into the trail you will come to a point that the trail markers will stop. From there, keep bearing left of the route to Rainbow Mountain and you will see the wonderful lake. Going down the steep and rock slope down to the lake require precautions. This hiking trail may be a little but it is very rewarding because of the breath taking view of the lake.

This hiking destination is best done in the months from July to November when the trails are usually free of snow, and the difficulty is moderate. Warm clothing is still recommended due to the cold alpine temperatures there. Beverly Lake is a great camping spot and swimming is also allowed.
