Hoshinoya Karuizawa is well-known for the beautiful interior that blends well with the nature. Each rooms are very spacious and quite modern. If you are going to travel with more than 3 people, you can stay in a house called “Niwaroji”, which is a little bit away from the other rooms. If you want something unique and interesting, you should add this hotel on your list!
Hoshinoya Karuizawa has unique-concept attractions such as meditation bath and therapeutic bathing. You wouldn’t be bored with food. There is a restraint called “Kasuke”, where you can enjoy original Japanese food. Since this hotel is located in a mountain, the transport is not quite convenient. So, there is a shopping mall called “Harunir Terrace” within the hotel area.

This is a park where you can enjoy the nature of Karuizawa. You can book a tour if you want to know about ecology of Karuizawa.
Cafe Hungry Spot
You can enjoy casual Japanese food and tea. In every summer, they do an event called "Hoshizora Beer Terrace". During this event you can enjoy their original IPA beer under the starry sky!
Tips
Guests are not allowed to get into the hotel with their own vehicles. You need to take a free shuttle bus or taxi from the reception. There is free shuttle bus from the hotel as well.
The building has many stairs and the lights are not bright in some places. You might have to be careful when you accompany with handicapped persons, elderlies and children.
